Today we interview an energetic founder of a collective of international creatives and co-founder of a community art studio in Sofia.

I'm originally from Northern Ireland and have lived in Scotland, Prague, Paris, Istanbul. I've been living in Sofia for more than 5 years now. I am the founder of Creatives-Sofia, a collective of international creatives and co-founder of Artist Tree Sofia, a community art studio.
Sofia chose me, not the other way around! I was living in Istanbul and not having a good time. I needed a break to figure things out, so I came to Sofia for a weekend over the New Year...and just loved it. I returned to Istanbul, quit my job, and jumped on an overnight bus to move to Sofia. I wish I had known about the taxi apps the moment I arrived. It would have saved me a very expensive trip!
Somehow I have ended up living my dream. I write for a living and paint for love. I'm surrounded by so many creative and talented people.I have no plans to move anywhere else...but then, I never really planned to be here either. So, who knows which way the wind will blow!
My piece of advice to newcomers: scratch beneath the surface. There is so much going on in this city and there is definitely more to it than first meets the eye. It's managed to hold my attention for more than 5 years.
